A Community United in Remembrance: Candlelight Vigil for Nepal Flood Victims

The Nepali American Organization of Ohio (NAOO) extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us this evening at the Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Temple for a Candlelight Vigil honoring the lives tragically lost in the devastating floods in Nepal along the Lhende, Bhotekoshi, and Trishuli rivers.

Gathering together in shared grief, prayer, and solidarity was a deeply moving experience. Though we are thousands of miles away from our homeland, our collective presence and quiet reflection reminded us that the bonds of our community remain strong, even in the most difficult times.

Thank you to everyone who brought their families and friends to stand together, honor the memories of those we have lost, and keep the grieving families and affected communities in Nepal in our thoughts and prayers.

Tonight’s gathering was a powerful reminder that compassion knows no distance. In moments of tragedy, our unity, kindness, and willingness to support one another give us strength and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Nepal will rise again, and together, we can help rebuild hope.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The NAOO Executive Team
